Are you looking forward to the Rosemary’s Baby 2-part special? I hope so because it is coming really soon. The mere idea of re-making the Roman Polanski classic turns the stomach of some, and excites a few. With the quality going into Horror TV these days it is silly to automatically write this off before giving it a chance. We finally have a full trailer. Check it out below!
What did you think?
Rosemary’s Baby will air on NBC Sunday, May 11th, and Thursday, May 15th 9-11 p.m. ET/PT on both nights.
For those that don’t read the The Walking Dead comic, you’ve probably heard from your friends that do about a baddass villain named Negan. You’ve probably also heard that he is the most dastardly SOB in the story so far since the Governor. Well let me confirm all those sentiments to you. (assuming you put any stock into my opinion of course)
I happen to only be a handful of issues into the Negan story-line myself, but it’s safe to say that he shares a lot of the evil qualities of the Governor but in a ways is a lot more lethal. I don’t want to say much more due to those who haven’t read up to that point yet, as well as the TV show exclusive folks who would rather go into everything blind. Here is Kirkman on Negan showing up in the TV show…
Best wishes, Negan.
MTV News: Getting back to Negan, [Producer] Scott Gimple has said he wants to get the character on the show eventually. You know, there is a guy AMC likes, who’s just finishing up a run on a popular show on the network. Any chance you could snag Jon Hamm for the part? Robert Kirkman: He’s not tall enough! That’s a joke. I think Jon Hamm would be perfect. I think after “Mad Men” has run, Jon Hamm is going to have a Tom Hanks level film career, so I don’t think he’ll be coming back to television anytime soon. Although that would be cool!
As far as Negan casting goes, Scott and I are always talking about who we would put in that, it’s definitely on our minds, and there are definitely a lot of candidates. But I wouldn’t expect Negan too terribly soon, although he is definitely in the plan. It’s a 99% lock that he’s going to be in the show eventually, so be on the lookout for that.
If you want to read the rest of the interview, follow the link above, but be warned most of the interview talks about the comic during the Negan storyline. Even I refrained because I don’t want to know what happens until I read it for myself. The Negan storyline is set to conclude in the next issue, “ALL OUT WAR”
On this episode Brian is back filling in for Corey once again and has a ton of Cthulu goodies to promote and share! This month we welcome Iris of the Movie Fan-Attic and Badasses, Boobs & Body Counts podcasts to tackle couple of movies featuring animals getting vengeance for two different reasons, in fact in one of the two movies you might say the main characters deserve to die merely for being bastards. (The other one features Leslie Nielsen as a semi-racist, bear-wrestling asshole, and warns of the ills of aerosol cans) So join Iris, Doug, Jeff, & I as we discuss these two Eco-horror flicks. You may never go outside again!
While some may suggest the characters of the first three seasons of American Horror Story could be considered one big freak show, the 4th season of the of FX series will be specifically centered around a Circus Freakshow! That’s right, after many rumors and “will it or won’t it” speculation, AHS creator Ryan Murphy finally confirmed about a week ago that the new season will center the freakshow theme. Naturally some details are now beginning to leak, here are a few tiny tidbits….
“Freak Show will take place in 1950 in Jupiter, Florida and will feature AHS veteran Jessica Lange as a “German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.”
Her “freaks” will be played by returning stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy. EW reports that Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also in talks to return to the show.
The fourth season will feature 13 fear-packed episodes, but no release date has been set at this time. “
No official release date has been announced yet, but the pattern would be a late September to early October release! Who else can’t wait!?

Hello again folks, been awhile! Welcome back to the Theater of Evil!
Q:What is Theater of Evil?
A:Part movie commentary, part fireside chat, 100% a cast of characters from the horror podcasting world getting together on skype to discuss the streaming movie, get in some good laughs, and mostly have a fun time being in each other’s company. Hopefully we entertain some folks along the way!
On this episode we draw back the curtains on something a little less “evil” but just as painful. The latest movie from action “star” Steven Seagal. Turns out he’s been making movies in bunches over the last decade of the straight to DVD variety. His latest, Force of Execution, has been stuck on my netflix recommendations front page for the last two weeks begging me to watch so being a good conforming consumer I finally decided to give it a shot, (mostly because of the semi-decent cast). The movie didn’t end up getting everything wrong, and Bren Foster was actually quite impressive in the short amount of material he was given to work with….as far the rest…..tune into to find out what Doug Tilley, Jeff X Martin, and myself have to say. This is currently streaming on netflix, so watch along with us as you listen!
Pretty amazing how the fine folks over at scaredstiff.tv can understand the details of a Friday the 13th movie better than Platinum Dunes, eh? Actually, I am not really surprised at all.
Good friend of the show, Doug Plomitallo has done it again folks. Following up on the hit 4-part web-series TheZombie Chronicles, comes a brand new 10 part series that features a slasher villain even the most novice horror fans should recognize; Jason MF’N Voorhees! Check out episode 1 below:
