“Not So Evil” Sidecast #16 Book of Hyper Dead Prey

Yakkity Yak, the “not so evil” sidecast is back!

On this episode we explore four “number 2′s” but not just any number twos….oh no, we take on some under-seen, perhaps under-appreciated sequels.  Some may fall into both categories while others (Mike’s pick naturally) fails to really fall into either by the time it’s dissected. The gang is all back as we break down, Cube 2: Hypercube, Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows, Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, and Cold Prey 2.  Do these sequels enhance, expand, and compliment the originals? Find out right now on episode 16 of the “Not So Evil” sidecast!

Evil Episodes Podcast: Episode #67 Blair Witch Project Revisited

Do not adjust your dials, your Horror TV Fix is back.
It’s Evil Episodes Podcast #67!

On the latest edition of the show we have a Corey sighting! Yes, he is back with us (for half of the show!). The four of us tackle The Blair Witch Project, for two of us it’s the first time we’ve seen it since it’s premiere in the theater.  Does the film that put found footage horror on the map (arguably) hold up? How far has the sub-genre come? We discuss all this and much more.  We bid Corey a farewell after this segment but not before kicking off the show with some news and a brief discussion on the new horror demo P.D. on the PS4.

We then discuss the last half of Hemlock Grove season 2 and our overall thoughts on how it compared to the first season and if we are looking forward to more. After that it is onto the TV Horror segment where we discuss Under the Dome, True Blood (briefly), The Strain and more!

Asylum branching out into TV shows with Z Nation……here’s the teaser!

Not quite had your fill of Zombies? Willing to give Asylum pictures…one….more….chance?  Coming in September is Z Nation a new zombie tv show from Asylum. I don’t know quite what to make of this as it is much more of a teaser than a trailer….All I know for sure is it looks very Asylum-y which for most people means “not good”. For others, something they can turn off their brain and have fun with.  Will I give it a chance? Of course….this is the kind of stuff we cover for you after all, right? Check out the teaser below…

“Not So Evil” Sidecast #15 Under daaaa Sea!

Welcome back to the sidecast folks.
In episode #15 we actually get a bit more eeeeevil than usual. The four of us pick a sea “creature” movie. I use the term creature loosely because it varies widely over the course of all four of our picks. Mike once again comes in with the most questionable pick featuring under water nazi zombies with SHOCKWAVES, Jeff doesn’t disappoint with his shlocky serving of HUMANOID FROM THE DEEP, Iris decides to creep us all the hell out with DAGON, while Doug goes the most modern with THE HOST.  Four completely different takes on horrors from under the sea. We hope you enjoy the latest edition of the sidecast and don’t forget your lifejacket!

Comic Con 2014 delivers The Walking Dead goods with a 3 minute S5 trailer….

We knew it was coming….and now it is here!

A full 3 minutes of Walking Dead good-ness has premiered earlier today and per usual, it is now online for all of our enjoyment.  Does this trailer reveal too much of what goes on at and beyond Terminus?  You be the judge…

The Walking Dead returns for season 5 on Sunday October 12th only on AMC!

“Not So Evil” Sidecast #14 Superzeroes

Welcome back folks,

It’s good to be back so soon for once. This month we have four movies about guys some would call heroes, others would call? SUPER HEROES! We changed the format up a bit and had each member of the cast pick a Super Hero movie they felt was underrated and took on the task of defending it in front of the wrath of the other three members. We quickly find out that not all “underrated”‘s are equal, while another is not underrated after all. And just what the hell qualifies as an actual super hero, anyway? Find out now on episode #14 of the “Not So Evil” Sidecast!

Tonight’s Cast:

Alien: Isolation…Go back to the Nostromo with the original cast….OMFG!

So while I was at work today, news broke that anyone who pre-orders ALIEN:ISOLATION is going to get access to two DLC missions re-creating scenes from ALIEN.  Umm…..Holy Shit!  This game was already on my radar….now? I am pre-ordering tomorrow (thank you pay day)!

Pre-ordering Alien: Isolation will grant players access to two downloadable missions that will allow them to relive two classic scenes from the film and feature voice acting and likenesses of the film’s original actors. Gamers can look forward to seeing Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), Ian Holm (Ash), and Ripley herself, Golden Globe winner Sigourney Weaver.

Gamers who pre-order Alien: Isolation will automatically be upgraded to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the bonus mission Crew Expendable. Gamers will play as either Ripley, Dallas, or Parker as they attempt to lure the alien into the airlock, only moments after Brett’s death.

Those who pre-order from GameStop will also receive the Last Survivor mission where Ripley must navigate through the Nostromo to activate the self-destruct sequence before escaping on the shuttle Narcissus.

Sharknado 2: The Second One gets a full trailer…

Sharknado. A movie that still to this day puzzles me at all the fan-fare it got. In fact, I’d dare to say that following the live-tweeting going on during the movie was much more entertaining than the movie itself. However, the movie was indeed successful enough (how that is measured? no idea) for SYFY to order a sequel, and it is premiering later this month.  Check out the trailer below….

Sharknado 2 premieres on July 30th only on SYFY!

Sharknado takes Manhattan?
