World War Z game coming to ios & android…..and here’s a preview….

It’s no secret my not so positive reaction to what the WWZ movie has seemingly become, (namely a generic running-zombie cgi fest w/Brat Pitt!) however when it comes to video games, especially zombie-related games, I can be quite more forgiving of all the usual and familiar tropes as long as the game is fun to play.

Will WWZ be fun? Will there be effort into making a compelling game that has some lasting power? Or will it be a shameless piece of promotion for the movie? Is it possible to be both? We’ll find out on May 30th….until then check out this preview…

But shortly after his funeral, thousands rose from the dead; and after months of rehabilitationand medication, the zombies — now known as PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) sufferers — are gradually being returned to their homes.

When Kieran arrives, he is forced to confront his family, the community that rejected him and haunting flashbacks of what he did in his untreated state.

The beginning of the end is near for Dexter, season 8 gets a full trailer…..

This is the season we’ve all been waiting for folks.  There is no turning back, the end is definitely in sight and the walls are closing on Dexter.

The trailer paints a dim picture of what has become of Deb since the events of  the season 7 finale, and for good reason. There is no “fixing” what she did.

Check out the full trailer for Season 8 below and be sure to catch the season premiere of Dexer’s final season on June 30th only on Showtime!

Fox’s Sleepy Hollow series get’s a trailer…….don’t lose your head over it!

The legend of Sleepy Hollow has been told via book and movie so naturally the next incarnation should come as a TV series, right? Well, sort of.

In Fox’s TV series it looks as though Ichabod Crane has somehow awoken and returned from the grave in modern times to solve a crime that dates back to our founding fathers and has the world on the brink of destruction!!! Below is an extended trailer and the official synopsis from the youtube page:

From co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (the “Star Trek” and “Transformers” franchises, “Fringe”) comes the adventure thriller SLEEPY HOLLOW. In this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer (Nicole Beharie, “Shame,” “American Violet”) to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers.

Sleepy Hollow debuts this Fall on Fox…..

NBC’s Dracula gets a trailer

Still wondering about how a network like NBC will handle the Dracula folklore? Look no further than below for the official trailer for the series that will be hitting NBC this fall….

Survival Horror for the PC will have you lost in The Forest!

Currently in development for Stream, this game looks like it takes place after a lone survivor of a plane crash tries to survive in a forest.

Armed with what initially looks like only a lighter, the survivor encounters some type of creature (think the creatures from The Descent) in some caves that look to present quite the obstacle to surviving.

Evil Episodes #39 – Follow Us to Salem

Welcome back to your bi-weekly dose of small screen terror!

It’s Evil Episodes Podcast #39!

On this edition we start with  rundown of anything horror-related we’ve watched since the last episode including a handful of movies Mike watched over the last week which American Mary, Maniac(original & remake), and Stitches. Listen out for possible extended reviews of any combo of the movies in the future.

We then get to the normal rundown of TV shows we have been watching and catch everyone up to whatever episodes were current as of the recording (Friday May 4th).  This time The Following was given the extra special treatment as the first season had just wrapped up with one hell of a cliffhanger and all three of us were not only blown away but ready for the next chapter to begin immediately.
Next some news bits were thrown in including some new TV shows in the works for FX, HBO, and MTV, as well as a re-release of a survival horror video game with a new extended Director’s cut.  These might be shows you will want to get the DVR ready for!
We finish up this episode with another special “At the Movies” segment as all three of us saw Rob Zombie’s latest endeavor, Lords of Salem.  Were we bewitched and put under a spell? Did anyone think the movie was more horrid than slime & snails, and puppy dog tails? You won’t want to miss our discussion featuring the very special guest MisfitBoy! ( @Misfitboy69 )

Then comes the main event of the episode, an in-depth look at Season 3 of The Walking Dead including the season finale and possible future things to come for the show. This discussion features lots of spoilers including comparing aspects of the show with the comic so be warned! For this segment we welcome in a very special returning guest, New Jersey Nick from The Slashercast! Nick is always a treat to have on the show as he brings his great sense of humor and unabashed opinions and insight on whatever the topic at hand may be. Let’s hope the entire game is as good as the opening credits for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game……

The Walking Dead’s second video game installment (unrelated to Telltale’s The Walking Dead episodic adventure from 2012) is about to hit consoles in a few days and so far other than knowing you play as Daryl Dixon in the events leading up to the TV show’s pilot, not  much has been revealed.

Well here is a cool little tidbit to wet the appetite further, the opening credits from the game have leaked online….check ‘em out below….
