The El Rey network (billed as an “English language network targeting Latino audiences). Thus far the network has been airing a bunch of Tarantino & Rodriguez movies, as well as re-runs of shows like the X-files. There has also been ads for “Grindhouse Fridays” which this coming Friday will feature the Sonny Chiba classic The Street Fighter (the entire trilogy, actually)
From Dusk Till Dawn is the first round of original programming to hit the network. If you hadn’t heard, the show is expanding the story of the movie with the same title. While the story will largely follow the events from the movie, the TV series (for now, 10 episodes ordered) plans to expand on the mythology, introduce new characters, and go in several different directions. I just watched the pilot and here are my initial thoughts. (after the jump)
I’ve heard so much about Outlast for a long time, (originally as a PC exclusive, which I did not have the ability to play). With my recent purchase of the Playstation 4 and PS+ membership, Outlast was available as a free download. Yes…..FREE! I have the game downloaded but have not got the chance to dive in just yet. Well, it looks like I need to get to it because some cool looking DLC is releasing this April titled “Whistleblower”
“Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast. Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son in Boulder thanks to strict security protocols, Weylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients. Identifying with those poor souls fueled Weylon’s anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive’s rotten core.
Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum’s story.”
As soon as a trailer is available for “Whistleblower” it will be posted on the site. For now, check out the trailer for Outlast below.

So, awhile back on the podcast we talked briefly about a french tv show called The Returned that was going to start airing on IFC. Season 1 came and went without most anyone watching it. I had it set to record on the DVR but for some reason it decided not to….luckily, like many other series The Returned has found it’s way onto netflix so I will be checking it out very soon. For those unfamiliar or that forgot what this was about check out the trailer below…
This has been getting rave reviews from a ton of media outlets. Expect a discussion/review on this series sometime in the next few episodes!
So it looks like the story behind FROM DUSK TILL DAWN’s TV series will follow the movie, but be an expanded version of the events. New characters, new events, and more mythology behind the vampires! There is a pretty good interview with Robert Rodriguez up at Shock Till You Drop, which can be read by clicking HERE! Before you do that though, check out a very in-depth trailer for the show below!
Get ready because the zombie action is about to ramp back up as the 2nd episode of the second season of The Walking Dead game is about to drop for consoles, PC, ios etc etc….March 4th to be exact! I am pumped!
Here is the trailer if you want it (personally, I am refraining I don’t any of the events to be spoiled)
When this much Horror TV is being thrown at us, it’s easy to forget when some of the shows come back, especially for networks you aren’t otherwise tuning into…well let’s call this the 24 hour warning to set those DVRs because HANNIBAL is back everyone! No excuses now, right?
Hey another thing I wasn’t doing before was posting the sidecast here once it was uploaded, why? No idea…so I am going to start doing that now…..
Welcome back to the “Not So Evil” sidecast!
On this episode Mike, Doug, & More explore bollywood re-imaginings of two American horror classics. AATANK(Jaws) & MAHAKAAL(Nightmare On Elm Street). Which film thrives, and which film sinks? Did I just see a toy shark being dropped into a bathtub? Why is an Indian Michael Jackson signing Thriller during school hours? All this, plus a ton of broken up sexual assault attempts in this Bollywood edition of the “Not So Evil” Sidecast!
Welcome back to your favorite Horror TV fix!

Thanks for Listening and as always….Don’t Touch That Dial!!!
All joking aside, this game looks pretty incredible. While I don’t have a PS4 just yet, I am planning on making the jump in a few weeks when I get my tax return. There is a PS3 version releasing as well, but since I am so close to converting, I’d rather save my money for the next-gen experience.
“You are Garrett, the Master Thief. The City you once knew has changed. Your thieving skills are all you can trust as you walk the fine line between politics and the people, entangled in layers of conflict. With time running out, you’ll unravel a dark, personal secret from the past that ultimately threatens to tear your world apart.
Get ready to become the shadows. Become Garrett. Become the Master Thief. “
Thief is available exclusively on the PS3/PS4 and will be available February 25th!
There simply are no words. Sharknado was watchable. I can’t quite give them the credit they think they deserve because I am not sure they accomplished what they thought they might have been going for, but at the same time it was hardly an awful experience (I still think Ghost Shark was better, btw).
Look out brah, there’s a shark in the water!!!
Jersey Shore Shark Attack was at least trying to parody a show that’s a little more modern. Beverely Hills 90210 (the real one) hasn’t been on TV for a long time so I am not sure if they will be doing a parody of the show itself or just Southern California/Orange county culture? It’d be pretty great if they could at least get a cameo from a cast member of the original (What is Luke Perry up to these days, anyway?) Either way, it is hard to turn down a date with a killer Shark movie, regardless of how many times you’ve been disappointed before so I will likely be sitting through this one too….
