“Not So Evil” Sidecast #14 Superzeroes

Welcome back folks,

It’s good to be back so soon for once. This month we have four movies about guys some would call heroes, others would call? SUPER HEROES! We changed the format up a bit and had each member of the cast pick a Super Hero movie they felt was underrated and took on the task of defending it in front of the wrath of the other three members. We quickly find out that not all “underrated”‘s are equal, while another is not underrated after all. And just what the hell qualifies as an actual super hero, anyway? Find out now on episode #14 of the “Not So Evil” Sidecast!

Tonight’s Cast:

Alien: Isolation…Go back to the Nostromo with the original cast….OMFG!

So while I was at work today, news broke that anyone who pre-orders ALIEN:ISOLATION is going to get access to two DLC missions re-creating scenes from ALIEN.  Umm…..Holy Shit!  This game was already on my radar….now? I am pre-ordering tomorrow (thank you pay day)!

Pre-ordering Alien: Isolation will grant players access to two downloadable missions that will allow them to relive two classic scenes from the film and feature voice acting and likenesses of the film’s original actors. Gamers can look forward to seeing Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), Ian Holm (Ash), and Ripley herself, Golden Globe winner Sigourney Weaver.

Gamers who pre-order Alien: Isolation will automatically be upgraded to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the bonus mission Crew Expendable. Gamers will play as either Ripley, Dallas, or Parker as they attempt to lure the alien into the airlock, only moments after Brett’s death.

Those who pre-order from GameStop will also receive the Last Survivor mission where Ripley must navigate through the Nostromo to activate the self-destruct sequence before escaping on the shuttle Narcissus.

Sharknado 2: The Second One gets a full trailer…

Sharknado. A movie that still to this day puzzles me at all the fan-fare it got. In fact, I’d dare to say that following the live-tweeting going on during the movie was much more entertaining than the movie itself. However, the movie was indeed successful enough (how that is measured? no idea) for SYFY to order a sequel, and it is premiering later this month.  Check out the trailer below….

Sharknado 2 premieres on July 30th only on SYFY!

Sharknado takes Manhattan?

The Killing’s fourth & final season gets a trailer

Months back after the explosive conclusion to the third season, it was announced that Netflix would be picking up a six episode final season of The Killing. With Netflix not only will all six episodes be available on day one on August 1st, but you can also expect a full 55-59 minutes per episode as opposed to the 42-45 minutes given when you factor in commercial breaks.  Also, as reported earlier “F-bombs Galore” haha….the trailer for the 4th season has just been released, check it out…

Evil Episodes Podcast: Episode #64 A Little About A Lot

Don’t touch that Dial. Your Horror TV Fix is back!

 It’s Evil Episodes Podcast #64

It took 64 episodes for it to happen but we finally made it to a sort of “from the hip” episode. Due to all sorts of scheduling and last minute changes, we all managed to watch some but not all of the programs for this episode. It’s a real mix & match.  Don’t take that to mean this a throw-a-way episode, indeed not. We actually have quite the discussion on a few things Mike watched, Never Sleep Again, World War Z (finally), and Wolf Creek 2. As well as the return of True Blood, a side rant on Weeds with a bonus comparison of Nancy Botwin & Sookie Stackhouse, all kicked off with perhaps the shortest news segment yet. We also attempt to discuss The Returned but circumstances of life cut that conversation short.  Listen on to hear what the first episode recorded mostly on the fly sounds like. Overall, not bad if I may say so!

Crush everything in your wake to listen to the newest “Not So Evil” Sidecast #13 Godzilla U.S.A.

Welcome to the latest installment of the “Not So Evil” Sidecast.
On this episode the four of us take on 4 American takes on the Godzilla movie. Is Raymond Burr a welcome addition to Gojira, not once, but twice? Does a great monster design help make Godzilla ’85 watchable? Was Godzilla 1998 merely a post-Jurassic Park cash cow? Who really likes Godzilla ’14 and who doesn’t? Find out right now…..special note: Iris was unable to join us during the episode but was so kind to record and send us her thoughts on the four movies discussed in the episode. Listen for Iris’s thoughts towards the end of the episode during our wrap-up(s)!

Evil Episodes Podcast: Episode #63 Once is Not WNUF!

No need to adjust your dials, Evil Episodes Podcast is back!

On episode #63 of the show we invite special guest Duncan McLeish from The Podcast Under the Stairs onto the show for the first time. We start off with a video game heavy news segment due to being only a week removed from E3 2014, trailers for Dead Island 2, The Order, Alien Isolation & more! We then introduce Duncan to the podcast properly with a discussion on Asylum’s Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys (forgive us Duncan) and then close out with a review of the WNUF Halloween special which features a lot of gushing and trips down memory lane for the four of us. All this and more including a brand new Cthulu book that Brian gets all giddy promoting!

Alien: Isolation get a new trailer at E3 2014!

One of my more anticipated games I am looking forward to this year is ALIEN: ISOLATION.

Despite being burned and disappointed in some many games based on the ALIEN franchise up to now, everything I have seen in regards to ISOLATION has me thinking that finally the game makers have captured the essence of what it would be like to feel helpless in space facing off against a Xenomorph.  Check out the latest trailer for the game below and be ready to wake up out of Cryosleep on October 7th!

Hemlock Grove’s second season gets a trailer!

Netflix’s HEMLOCK GROVE was met with mixed reception a year ago, but the bottomline is that it was watched by a ton of folks, so many in fact that netflix quickly green-lit a second season. The new season debuts on July 11th in the usual “every episode available day 1″ format.  Now we have a trailer to get a sneak peek at what is in store….

Your eyes may focus now as FX releases a full trailer for The Strain!

TV spot after TV spot….that was how it went for FX’s new horror series THE STRAIN.

For those of us unfamiliar with the comic, we were eagerly awaiting to get a better look and idea of what we have in store when the series kicks off it’s 13 episode first season on July 13th….wait no longer as a trailer has finally been released!
