American Horror Story will continue haunting viewers! FX renews for a 2nd season!

American Horror Story has got to be my favorite new show of the season! I am not alone in my enjoyment of the show either as ratings for the show have been great for FX as well as growing every week.

“HS is producing outstanding ratings, growing though its first four weeks in the network’s target audience of Adults 18-49. On a Live+7 basis, through two weeks, first-run episodes of AHS are averaging 4.2 million Total Viewers, 2.9 million Adults 18-49, and 1.7 million Adults 18-34. It is currently tracking to become the highest-rated first season of any series ever on FX, certain to surpass Murphy’s award-winning hit drama Nip/Tuck in Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (2.1 million Adults 18-49; 1.0 million Adults 18-34 – 2003), and also above the award-winning drama Justified in Total Viewers (3.4 million P2+ – 2009).

For those that have heard the buzz, but have so far missed out on probably the most talked about new horror tv show of the season (so far) no need to fret. FX plans on a marathon of the first four episodes of the series. In addition, there is a special Halloween-themed 2 part episode planned airing first on the 26th, and the second part on Wednesday November 2nd. TDHorror reports the following:

“FX will air a special Halloween marathon of the new hit drama “American Horror Story” featuring the first four episodes of the series on Monday, October 31st, beginning at 10:00 PM E/P. In addition to the Halloween marathon, series co-creators and executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have produced a special two-part Halloween-themed episode in honor of the horror-filled holiday; the first hour airs Wednesday, October 26th, at 10:00 PM ET/PT, and the second airs Wednesday, November 2nd, at the same time. Feature film star Zachary Quinto (Star Trek) guest stars in both episodes as one of the house’s former owners.”

Dexter, American Horror Story, Terra Nova, Walking Dead, etc etc….I want to know your thoughts?

With The Walking Dead season 2 getting underway a few hours ago….or depending on when you are reading this, last night, it is safe to say that the Horror-TV season is in full effect and will be pretty jam packed with shows and series for the remainder of 2011.  Despite all the shows currently airing, we still have NBC’s Grimm, Bag of Bones, as well as Chiller’s original movie, Remains, among many more that I have probably failed to mention.

That said, I want to know what you, the visitors of the site and listeners of the podcast think about all the returning series and new shows.  It doesn’t matter if you enjoy ‘em, hate ‘em, want to pick certain elements apart regarding them.  I am all for your feedback no matter what your opinions are, and I’d love to feature all of your thoughts in an upcoming episode of the podcast.

You can do something as simple as leave a reply on this topic below, email your thoughts to evilepisodespodcast@hotmail.com or you can be even more bold and record your comments in audio form and send them to the same email and I will play them during the show.

With the audience of the podcast growing slowly but surely, I am always interested to get the pulse of the audience as to what they are watching and what they want to discuss.  So speak up and be a part of an upcoming episode of the podcast!
